BIO

My name is Kayla Stroud. I graduated from Valdosta State University in 2016, earning degrees in English (with a concentration in Journalism) and Art (with a concentration in Graphic Design). During my time at university, I served as both the Web Editor and SpecTech Editor for the school's student-run newspaper, The Spectator. I received recognition for my work, placing 1st and 3rd for “Best Website” in the state from the Georgia College Press Association (GCPA) in 2016 and 2017 for my contributions to The Spectator’s website, VSUSpectator.com.

In 2017, I was hired by the Dougherty County Public Library as the Web Designer. I was responsible for redesigning the library's official website, docolib.org, as well as the websites for its five branches.

In 2018, I joined Wesleyan College as the Web Content Manager and Graphic Designer. My role involved addressing website issues and designing advertising and marketing materials for both online and print. Additionally, I manage the rebranding of the college’s athletic department and serve as the web editor for the athletic website, wesleyanathletics.com.

In 2022, I was hired as the Digital Designer at ConnectCRE. My primary responsibilities include creating marketing materials such as flyers, pull-up banners, and event badges for the company's real estate conferences. In this role, I also manage the company’s conference website and its various subsites.

Furthermore, I served as the Social Media Chair for the Junior League of Macon, where I created online digital content for all of JLM's social media channels.
